8ft Extension Door Cable Set
Pre-cut cable set sized for 8-foot residential sectional doors operating on extension spring systems. The set includes two cable gauges to cover both common extension spring configurations: a pair of 1/8” × 168” 7×19 strand cables for standard residential torsion applications where flexibility is required, and a pair of 3/32” × 156” 7×7 strand cables for lighter-tension extension spring setups where a stiffer, abrasion-resistant construction is preferred. Extension spring cables run from the bottom bracket, up and over the rear pulley, and attach to the rear track hanger — correct cable length is critical for proper spring travel and door balance. Having both gauges in a single set reduces van stock complexity for contractors servicing a range of 8-foot door installations.
