Aluminum Weather Trip Side Seal
Side weather seal combining a flexible PVC or EPDM wiper element with a rigid aluminum weather trip carrier. The aluminum extrusion mounts directly to the door jamb with fasteners, providing a stable, non-compressible base that holds the seal profile in exact position regardless of door frame movement or settlement. The flexible wiper element extends from the aluminum body to contact the door panel face as the door closes, creating a full-height weather barrier along both sides of the opening. This system is preferred on commercial and high-cycle installations where seal position repeatability is critical, and on applications where a screw-on mounting method is more practical than a slot-insert seal.
