Straight Keyway
Straight-profile keyway for torsion spring shaft assemblies, used to positively locate and lock the cable drum or spring coupler onto the torsion shaft and prevent rotational slipping under load. The keyway seats in the machined keyway slot of both the shaft and the drum or coupler bore, transmitting torque between the shaft and the component. Available in four size combinations — 1/4” × 1/4” × 3”, 1/4” × 1/4” × 4”, 1/4” × 3/8” × 3”, and 1/4” × 3/8” × 4” — covering the key cross-sections and lengths used in standard 1-inch torsion spring shaft systems. Select the size that matches the keyway slot dimensions of the drum and shaft being installed.
