Bent Keyway
Bent-profile keyway for torsion spring shaft assemblies. The bent geometry — where one end of the keyway is formed at an angle — provides axial retention in the keyway slot, resisting the key from sliding out along the shaft during drum installation and during torsion loading. This self-retaining feature simplifies assembly by reducing the need for additional securing methods to hold the key in position while sliding the drum or coupler onto the shaft. Available in 1/4” × 1/4” × 3” and 1/4” × 3/8” × 3” sizes to cover standard 1-inch shaft keyway configurations. Select based on the keyway slot dimensions of the specific drum and shaft assembly being installed.
